68th National Awards: Mollywood’s Big Day With Multiple Awards


The National Award is a big recognition of the crafts in the films that can get in India. The jury will pick the best in various categories and honour them with awards. The body worked hard and prepared a list of winners in various categories like the best actor, best film, best director and supering character.

The 68th edition of the National Film Awards was announced earlier today. The awards were divided into five categories as- Dadasaheb Phalke, Feature Films, Non-Feature Films, Best Writing on Cinema, and the Most Film-Friendly State.

Suriya’s special film Soorarai Pottru bagged the award for the Best Feature Film. Suriya and Ajay Devgn won the National Award as actors for Soorarai Pottru and Tahnaji respectively.

The Ajay Devgn starrer also bagged an award in the category of Best Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

Telugu Cinema had a good time with the national awards. In various categories, three films bagged the national awards. Colour Photo is the best Telugu film and Natyam film was picked as the winner in the categories of Choreography and makeup.

Overall, it’s the Malayalam movie that shined big at the awards. Ayyappanum Koshiyum got three awards in categories like Best Direction, Best Supporting Character, and Best Stunts.
