Now that Telangana elections are over and new government has formed, all eyes are on Andhra Pradesh. Telugu Desam Party is all set to sound poll bugle soon with its leader Chandrababu Naidu going to announce the crucial 70 candidates for the forthcoming general elections. It is learned that Naidu has worked up on the candidates and finalized 60 to 70 members out of 175 constituencies. He is planning to announce the candidates in January 2019 after Sankranthi.
After that phase-wise, Naidu will be announcing the list of other candidates. He is expecting that the election date would come out by the end of February or early March. He told party senior leaders to get prepared for the elections anytime. Naidu has conducted a teleconference with over 10,000 party leaders and interacted with them. He clearly instructed them to keep aside the differences and asked everyone to work together for the party in the coming elections.
Chandrababu earlier criticized YSRCP for celebrating TRS victory in AP. He questioned that how can YCP celebrate the victory of TRS that raised objection against Special Category Status to AP. Naidu reiterated that Jagan, KCR are friends of Modi. Looks like, the political climate in AP is going to raise soon.
