It may not surprise you much when you see members from the 24 crafts of cinema getting into acting but it does cause enough surprise when celebrities from other fields enter the glamour industry. Over the years, you have seen many sports celebrities especially cricketers donning the grease paint.
In the past, the likes of Sandeep Patil, Salil Ankola, Pakistani opener Mohsin Khan have all tried their hand in films but failed to click. In the recent past, the likes of Navjot Singh Sidhu, Vinod Kambli and even commentator Harsha Bhogle also played some roles.
Then there was Ajay Jadeja who was seen in movies like ‘Khel’ ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Ssaat’. Among today’s lot, it is Sreesanth who has almost turned into a film guy than a sportsman. Soon, a new movie titled ‘Sachin Tendulkar’ with ‘Kaadhu’ as the tagline is coming wherein Venkatesh Prasad has acted.
So far, none of them have actually scored success but here’s wishing the future cricketers the best of luck in case they enter filmdom.
