Telangana to lodge Case against Andhra Bank

After Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) approached High Court against State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) for freezing its assets, now it’s turn of Telangana government as it’s going to move High Court against AP and its lead banker Andhra Bank.
As per reports, Telangana governement is going to lodge case against Andhra Bank on Monday and may include APSCHE, AP government as the parties in the case. Earlier, the TSCHE had asked the banks holding assets of APSCHE to freeze the accounts till the bifurcation of APSCHE issue is resolved.
Owing to this, SBH has freezed the accounts of APSCHE. However, Andhra Bank had categorically refused to do so and written back saying that APSCHE is valid body according to AP Reorganisation Act and hence cannot freeze its accounts.
Naturally, it hasn’t gone well with Telangana government. Recently, Telangana Advocate General K Ramakrishna Reddy and TSCHE chairman Prof T Papi Reddy met KCR over the issue and put forward proposal to lodge case against Andhra Bank and the AP government. Since the inception of TSCHE, both TSCHE and APSCHE are locking horns with each other.
