Each of you has got his/her own perspective about God and the existence of a supreme power. In India, most of them believe in the existence and no matter how the fate of the country and its people are, the faith is constant and unquestioned. And whenever someone tries to raise their head, it ends up quite messy.
Now, this is something the Bollywood movie ‘PK’ has done and though the intent was to focus more on the Godmen than God, it has not gone well with certain fundamentalist groups. But the judiciary has stuck to the truth. The Supreme Court has refrained from ordering a ban on ‘PK’ and asked the petitioners not to watch if they don’t like it. The rationalists are also in support of this judgement and they say ‘Is questioning God a Crime?’.
We are living in a world where the happenings around are testing our faith and while we are told from generations to believe that there is someone above looking after everything, the fundamental questions of prayers and belief in the supreme power have always been in the grey area.
