Telangana capital city Hyderabad is going to get Istanbul-model development, stated Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. “Hyderabad will soon be developed into an international city on the lines of Istanbul in Turkey. The city roads will have US and London touch and would be top notch,” said KCR.
KCR added, “The government will soon send a team of officials and legislators to Istanbul to study the city and its development measures.” Meanwhile, KCR vowed to make Hyderabad “slum-free” city by removing all “huts” and said government will build pucca houses for all poor as promised by it during elections.
With GHMC elections just around the corner, Chief Minister KCR seems to have heightened his statements to floor the people of Greater Hyderabad. Earlier KCR personally visited Singapore and Malaysia and vowed to bring Singapore-model growth to city, but nothing concrete has done so far. In fact, KCR also stated that he would send MPs, MLAs and ZP Chairpersons to Singapore for “training”. We have to wait and watch whether it’s all just “words” or any “action” in offing.
