The national award winner Neelakanta may be a man of few films but he has a special place in Tollywood. Many hail him as the king of screenplay and few others are quite appreciative of his narrative skills onscreen.His recent film Maaya once again showcased his talent but the film was not turned as commercial success due to lack of star power.

Story of Maaya is first of its kind in Telugu Cinema and it’s made with amazing screenplay. Maaya is actually a romantic entertainer with concoction of thrilling elements.
Harshvardhan Rane, Sushma Raj and Avanthika played leads.Last 30 to 45 minutes was a magical imperative for the film. Neelakanta penned these portions astutely to ordeal audience wits with a superb mind game. Now the film is going to Bollywood and ace director Mahesh Bhatt who known for his love on Thriller movies is going to produce the movie.
Recently Mahesh watched the film in Hyderabad and spell bounded with the Neelakanta screenplay and unique concept. They had lauded Neelakanta for the concept and his making abilities.Everybody thought someone from Bhatt camp would direct Maaya Hindi remake. But surprisingly, they have decided only to produce the movie and asked Neelakanta to direct in Hindi too.Great recognition for Neelakanta….
