Speaking here to the media on Tuesday, Telugu Mahila president Sobha Hymavati questioned if Bharati did not know that she should not speak in the court hall, despite being the chairman of a newspaper. She said Bharati made remarks that were meant to influence the investigating officers. Referring to the reported remarks of Bharati questioning the CBI DIG Venkatesh if the CBI officers had no children, Hymavati said several families fell prey to the corruption of late Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and questioned if Bharati ever thought about the children of those languishing in jails because of them. She said if CBI enquired Bharati, more facts would come to light.
It may be mentioned here that Bharati reportedly expressed her anger at the CBI DIG Venkatesh for keeping her husband in the jail. She reportedly questioned him if CBI officers had no children. Jagan’s lawyers also reprimanded her for talking directly to the investigating officers.
