AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu is deeply upset with the news of Koti, the Congress party leader’s attempt to immolate himself over the demand of special status. Expressing his deep anguish over the suicide bid, Babu appealed to the people not to be driven by emotional feelings and not to resort to unmindful actions.

“Don’t forget that your family and society needs you the most,’ appealed Babu to the state’s citizens. Explaining further about people’s role as the partners in the development of AP, Chandrababu said that people should develop the state through a participatory model and stated, “we have several milestones to achieve.”

Speaking about the impending issues and the missions to be accomplished in the state, Babu said, “we need to complete the Polavaram project, construct a world-class capital and develop our villages. Because developing the state is an uphill task.”

Voicing the feelings of millions of AP citizens, the CM said that the “Union Government must accord Special Status to Andhra Pradesh and that the centre must support AP to recover from the severe revenue deficit and extend full co-operation until it achieves a level playing field.”
