Indian Students On A Rise In The US

Craze for pursuing advanced professional courses and master degrees in the US among Indian students has always been on a rise. In a latest report issued by the Students and Exchange Visitor Program(SEVP), the number of Indian students applying for admissions in various American universities has increased by 32 percent in 2014, a highest in the recent times.

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement department, which heads the SEVP, stated in its quarterly report that 76 percent of the international students vying for US admissions are from Asia, with India and Vietnam topping the list of countries from which a majority of students crowded the American universities in 2014.

At least 24% Indian students enrolled for Finance and Management courses in Texas alone, pushing Chinese students to the second spot with 17%. Countries like India, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Canada, Vietnam, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Taiwan and Japan are the prominent countries which see its students entering the American shores.
