Today it happens to be turn of beautiful diva Sonam Kapoor whose comments have ignited sparks, debate and finally she got trolled. It is known that eating and selling meat in Mumbai is banned for four days on the eve of Jain fasting season of Paryushan.
Reacting on such stuff, she posted on twitter, ‘Our country is going to remain a 3rd world nation because of the intolerant misogynistic close minded few’. As ‘misogynistic’ means haters of women, many people started blasting Sonam for her comparison, as they ask what’s the connection between hating women and banning meat?
Taking dig at Sonam’s statement, many comments went viral as she became butt of all jokes. Some joked, ‘Sonam Kapoor is more flexible than Baba Ramdev. She can put her foot in mouth at any given point of time’. Few tweeted, ‘And ‘Aliya bhatt of the day’ award goes to sonam kapoor’.
Reacting on all these stuff, Sonam once again said, Before being judgmental a**holes. What I said was a critique of the general mentality, not exclusive to the banning of meat. And the saddest thing about this whole thing is, mostly women are calling me out on being bimbo’. For calling them as a**holes, Sonam further faced the ire of twitterati.
