This supposedly ‘concept art’ of Avatar 2, the most eagerly awaited sequel to Avatar, has taken the world by storm since last night. Yesterday, a fake Twitter account for the film’s co-producer Jon Landau posted this picture, claiming it to be the first look of the Na’vi Neytiri alien creature. The producer is already in the process of getting the fake account deleted.
Released in 2009, Avatar, the groundbreaking sci-fi fantasy action drama directed by Oscar winning director James Cameron, recreated box-office history by collecting more than $2.7 billion. After almost 6 hears of research and a slight delay in the commencement of the shooting, James Cameron is currently busy with the pre-production work for a series of Avatar sequels.
The shooting for all the sequels will take place simultaneously. While the first sequel in the series, Avatar 2, will release on Christmas 2017, Avatar 3 will release in cinemas in December, 2018 and finally, Avatar 4 will release in December, 2019.
