Telangana CM KCR was treated by the Andhra Pradesh government with all official honors during his visit to AP on the occasion of Amaravati foundation stone laying ceremony. KCR’s visit also brought in a lot of goodwill between both the Telugu states and his equation with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is expected to get better, thereby helping both the states develop.
During his speech at the Amaravati inauguration, KCR expressed Telangana’s support to Amaravati and wished that Amaravati will become a world-class capital. However, the TRS supremo did not mention anything in particular about his state’s support to Amaravati as in whether the support is financial or logistical.
Earlier, KCR used to announce special packages to neighboring states and comminity groups with a big heart, but he did not repeat the same in Amaravati and it left the AP people somewhat disappointed. Whether KCR really planned to announce his ‘gift’ to Amaravati but backtracked since PM Modi did not announce anything is something to be analysed.
Had KCR announced some sort of financial support, no doubt that he would have developed an emotional bond with the AP citizens.
