At a time when the 90th birth anniversary celebrations of Satya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi in Anantapur district are in progress all over the State in a big way, a person from Muddenahalli, a village near Bangalore city in Karnataka has claimed that he is the incarnation of Satya Saibaba. One Madhusudan Naidu claimed that he was the heir of Satya Sai Baba as he was appearing in his dreams every day and guiding him what he should do for him.
Sai Baba himself told him to celebrate his 90 th birth anniversary celebrations in a huge way, Naidu claimed. However, the trustees of Satya Saibaba ruled out Naidu’s claims and alleged that some people in Karnataka were trying to tarnish the holy image of Sai Baba. Sai Baba died in 2011 and he did not name anybody as his religious heir. The number of devotees visiting Puttaparthi has been dropped down after the demise of Sai Baba. The trust, however, has Rs 1500 crore deposits and the interest on it comes around Rs 120 crore per annum. Donations will be around Rs 60 crore per annum for the trust from across the globe. Attempts are being made to gain supremacy over the trust, says some devotees of Sai Baba.
