Being lauded for his able administration by his peers across the world is nothing new to the AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu. However, Chandrababu has now bagged an honor which has never been bestowed upon any politician in the world. The prestigious Chicago State University (CSU), USA honored Chandrababu with a Doctorate of Humane Letters.
In its statement to Chandrababu for choosing him for this honor, the university said, “The decision to award you the degree is the testimony to the highest regard that the university holds for you and for your extraordinary abilities to envision, plan and bring to fruition transformative changes for the good of the great people of Andhra Pradesh.”
The President of the CSU, Wayne Watson, said that no foreign political dignitary has been awarded with this honor ever since the university’s inception in 1867.
The President hailed Babu’s efforts in empowering farmers, women and undeserved populaces and uplifting whole communities to lead better lives.
Thrilled with this rare honor, Chandrababu tweeted, “Honored & humbled to be conferred with a Doctorate from Chicago University for steering AP on path to progress. Will keep striving for AP.” Chandrababu will receive the doctorate at the university and will also address the students, faculty, and business, political and community leaders.
