Eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma may have been disappointed with the Telugu regional censor board for not clearing Killing Veerappan for a theatrical release in the last minute. However, going by the reports from the Sandalwood media, RGV is surely having the last laugh.
Killing Veerappan’s Kannada version has been opened amid positive buzz and the unanimous verdict is that RGV is back to his previous form and that Killing Veerappan is not to be missed. Even more amusing fact is that many theaters screening Killing Veerappan across Karnataka displayed houseful boards, a rare achievement for an RGV film after several years.
Even though the presence of Kannada superstar Shivrajkumar, who is on a hat-trick of hits, helped the film gain a positive buzz, RGV’s diehard fans will surely rejoice with the man bouncing back to his form. Now, expectations will surely rise for the film’s Telugu version.
