Despite of old-age woes, weakened memory and sight problems, Bhanumathi Rao perfectly adorned the character of mother, calling out for Krishna, in her performance titled ‘Krishna ni begane baaro.’
The most astonishing part was the lyricism with which Bhanumathi performed the swaying moves of Bharatanatyam. A video of Bhanumathi, which was uploaded by her daughter Maya, went viral on the social media. It was shared for over 10,000 times and reached 6,00,00 viewers.
Bhanumathi is prominent name when it comes to classical dance. She gained international attention due to her classical fusion dance style. Once she even had Jawaharlal Nehru amongst her audience.
