When everyone thought, actress Trisha Krishnan is almost fading out of film industry, the Chennai Ponnu is off late doing some interesting projects in Telugu as well as Tamil. The starlet who recently scored a blockbuster in Tamil with Bhooloham has signed to play a negative role in an upcoming Tamil political thriller film Kodi written and directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar.

Dhanush will play dual roles that of two brothers in this film and Trisha will be seen opposite the elder- brother character. Trisha’s is a dominant character on the lines of Narasimha’s Ramya Krishna. As per reports, she will be remembered for long time for her powerful characterization in the flick. In fact, roles with negative shades will give space for heroines to perform and Trisha is hoping to showcase her acting skills with Kodi.

Actually, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan was original choice for the role, however Trisha is confirmed for the role, since the Dirty Picture starlet couldn’t allocate call sheets for the Dhanush starrer film. Actress Shamlee who made debacle debut with ‘Oy!’ will be seen as the love interest of the younger brother (Dhanush).

Trisha’s latest movie Kalavathi (Aranmanai 2 in Tamil) is scheduled to hit the big screens on January 29th. Siddharth, Hansika Motwani and Poonam Bajwa are other lead cast in the Sunder C directorial project.
