Age and marriage are not worrisome factors for male actors. But, when it comes to female actors, their career span is less. Heroines will be in demand when they are young and aren’t married. Bollywood spectator may not consider age and marital status, however south audience and filmmakers will consider it.
Very few people are aware of the fact that, homely actress Radhika Apte is married. The dusky starlet informs that, filmmakers and actors insisted to hide her marital status. “My husband lives in London, and I spend half my time there. I’ve never hidden the fact that I am married. But it does matter to certain directors and actors. And I have been given suggestions to avoid telling people that I am married.”
Radhika was seen in several films, but she grabbed nationwide recognition with her bold performance in the short film Ahalya. Later, she turned everyone emotional as the pregnant independent woman in the Myntra ad. Surprisingly, Radhika says that, she has no problems in doing item songs, but these numbers should not mean for skin shows.
Radhika tied knot with British musician Benedict Taylor in 2013. Radhika met Benedict in 2011 in London during her year-long sabbatical when she had gone to learn contemporary dance. The two were in live-in relationship for a long time, before a registered marriage took place in March 2013.
Radhika Apte who was last seen in Telugu cinema opposite Balakrishna in Legend, will next be seen in Rajinikanth’s Kabali hitting the screens in summer.
