Superstar Mahesh Babu’s uncle and senior film producer Ghattamaneni Adiseshagiri Rao will now play an ever bigger and a crucial role in the YSRCP. Yesterday, the party’s president YS Jagan promoted Adiseshagiri Rao as the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) member.
While this sudden move by Jagan is yet mysterious, political circles are opining that he is on a mission to appease the Kammas and also attract cine glamour to the party.
It is well known that the YSRCP had even announced to field Adiseshagiri Rao in the Legislative Council for the Krishna district seat last year.
After serving as the AICC Cultural Committee Convener and PCC General Secretary for over 10 years, Adiseshagiri Rao quit Congress and joined YSRCP before the general elections in 2014. Adiseshagiri Rao also shared a close rapport with the late CM and Jagan’s father YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
