People are wondering whether the ruling TRS party will hear those danger bells. It is known that TRS till now swept all elections held after it came to power in the state. But much to the disbelief and shock of TRS, it got only average victory in its bastion Siddipet municipal elections.
BJP and MIM opening account should sound danger bells to TRS. BJP won in two wards while MIM won in one ward and this is generating interest on future politics in Siddipet. These are the worst results till now for TRS after coming to power.
TRS won only 22 wards out of 34 in Siddipet and in 12 wards opposition parties emerged victorious. CM KCR didnot concentrate on the elections as his nephew Harish Rao was incharge of the campaigning.Analysts say cadre and leadership’s overconfidence gave shock to TRS.
Though TRS won in most of the wards, opposition gained moral victory. The defeat is due to faulty selection of candidates and mistakes in choice of candidates by Harish Rao.
