Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali is just unstoppable at the Overseas Box office. The movie had break-even on the first day of its release (with Premieres) as the strategy of early premieres worked in favour of the film. The Early Premieres helped the movie minimize the effect of the negative reviews.
Cine Galaxy, the Overseas distributor of the film bagged the Telugu and Tamil version Overseas Rights for around 8 Crore. Whatever the movie collects from Friday will be the profits to the buyers. This is very significant since the movie has garnered bad talk and reviews on its release day.
Back in Telugu land, the movie also became the biggest grosser on its first day among dubbing films surpassing the previous total of Vikram – Shankar’s ‘I’. The major challenge is to see how the movie sustains after the first weekend. It is very important given that huge money is at stake.
