The actor, Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, on Tuesday, toured Uddanam village in Srikakulam to project the kidney problems of people living there. Besides making an appeal to address the issue, he has come with few suggestions which needs to be implemented by AP government at full speed.
Having said that his team of members (doctors, researchers and social activists) would come up with a report in 15 days, the actor-turned-politico recommended six basic essentials to the sufferers in Uddhanam village.
In a series of tweets, he proposed:
1.Free Bus passes/Travel to the patient & attendant.
2.Free Medicines to all the kidney affected victims in endemic areas.
3.Rehabilitation of the orphans of affected families.
4.Supply of ‘RO’ water as per ‘WHO’ standards.
(The following needs to be implemented as soon as possible)
5.Establishment of at least one dialysis center to each mandal in the affected area.
6.Posting of Nephrologists (Post DM super specialist) in the affected regions.
The Andhra Pradesh state health minister, Kamineni Srinivas, who earlier offered a comment, says “we’re (government) spending money on providing free treatment to the kidney patients.”
