Whenever a Salman Khan movie or a Shah Rukh Khan movie releases, there will be a huge buzz among their fans and trade circles. But it’s Aamir Khan who releases all his films amidst a low buzz but goes on to wreak havoc on box-office.
Bollywood’s first 100 crore movie (Ghajini), first 200 crore movie (3 Idiots) and first 300 crore movie (PK) are all courtesy Aamir Khan. And now, Aamir’s Dangal has surpassed PK’s lifetime business of 340.8 crores and entered the 350 crore club, first ever feat by any Bollywood film star.
The above records are proof enough that Aamir Khan is his own competition and that the two other Khan heroes are still miles be him. Dangal is still collecting at least 10 crores a day and entering the 400 crore club seems to be a cakewalk.
Interestingly, apart from Ghajini and Dhoom, all of Aamir’s highest grossing movies were critically acclaimed and socially relevant movies, line 3 Idiots, PK and the latest Dangal. This indeed makes Aamir a class apart from Salman and Shah Rukh.
