Basking in the glory of his 150th movie success, Megastar Chiranjeevi is now moving forward from Khaidi No. 150 as he starts his fitness sessions to grow leaner for next film. He will be seen as freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, who was touted to be the first ever man to revolt against British in 1846 itself much before the 1857 Sepoy revolt.
Cut to our point, this film is not being directed by Boyapati Sreenu as expected, but Surender Reddy is helming it. Known for his stylish filmmaking rather some loud and emotional high films, how far Surender will be a perfect director to handle this film related to freedom movement. Also the film deals with extensive visual effects and period work, with which Surender has not much rapport. That leads a question that did Chiru pick the right director?.
Underestimating the capabilities of this stylish director is not the point here, but one needs experience to handle period films and emotional adrenaline rushing subjects. Probably Rajamouli or a Krish would suit well for this movie of Chiranjeevi, say experts. However, until Dookudu happened, none believed Sreenu Vaitla could deliver an action film. So hope Surender Reddy will also mesmerise with his terrific work for this freedom-backdrop film.
Meanwhile Paruchuri Brothers are writing script and dialogues for this movie, and no doubt they are pioneers to carving out hair raising one liners for patriotic movies. We have to see how far they work in tandem with Surender Reddy to deliver a stunning 151st for Chiranjeevi.
