Telangana’s Ibrahimpur village always gains a special attention and now it is is back in news. The village in Siddipet Mandal of Medak district has proved it once again and made the state proud.The village has been conferred with the prestigious Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Award. Ibrahimpur village panchayat was selected for conducting the gram sabhas in most adorable way that stood as a role model to many villages across the nation. The award is likely to be honoured by the Prime Minister’s Office at National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations to be held in Lucknow on April 24.
“I wholeheartedly congratulate the people of Ibrahimpur for having been selected for the prestigious Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Award,” said elated Irrigation Minister Harish Rao who is the local MLA and also who adopted the village.
Ibrahimpur has proved itself several times earlier.To be mentioned it is the first cashless village in South India. Telangana government had claimed in Dec 2016 that the village in Siddipet Assembly constituency has become cashless.Ibrahmipur was the first to setup micro ATMs in the ration shops.
