This April 2017, there’s only one thing on people’s minds – Baahubali 2. We are 17 days away from one of the most anticipated releases of not only this quarter but also of this year. It’s the sequel to Baahubali: The Beginning and will continue form where the first part left. The movie is directed by SS Rajamouli and is produced by ARKA Mediaworks. While fans were always looking forward to this historical drama, the excitement tripled after the trailer was unveiled in a garnd launch on March 16. It was everything fans wished it to be and more!
After a spectacular first half, it was hard to imagine something better than that but there came along a jaw dropping trailer and proved us wrong. Right from the VFX to the action sequences to the characters to the background score – each element was praise worthy. Unsurprisingly, the trailer clocked in 100M views in 4 languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. And now in an interview with Sreedhar Pillai – Rajamouli has revealed the final cut time of the movie – 2 hours 50 minutes. Well, what do you think? Too long or not? We are sure fans are only too happy to spare three hours for their favourite franchise. What say?
The team recently held two grand audio launches – one in Hyderabad and the other in Chennai. The entire cast and crew were present for both events. Each of them were praising one another for all the effort put into the project. The movie has already raked in Rs 500 crore as part of its distribution and theatrical rights and merchandise. To gets fans on Baahubali mode, the makers re-released the first part on April 7 in Hindi across 1000 screens. The much-awaited Part 2 will release in 6500 screens worldwide. The movie stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia.
