TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu seems not happy with the party leaders of Telangana unit. He reportedly decided to abandon the party unit in Telangana following reports that many of Telugu Desam leaders are getting ready to quit the party and switch over to ruling TRS.
Following strong speculations that TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy will join BJP and President L Ramana is inclined to shift the ruling TRS, Naidu has called for a crucial meeting with all senior leaders of the TDP Telangana unit in May first week.
The party chief has asked Reddy and Ramana to attend the meeting along with all politburo members and sought explanation from the two leaders over the reports whether they join other parties. He was also serious on party leadership over their failure in exposing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s government.
In the meeting, Naidu will take a crucial decision whether to strengthen or abandon the party by taking the opinion of all leaders in the meeting. The TDP chief, who is also the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, wanted to dedicate his whole time to AP only in view of the tough competition from the main opposition YSR Congress party in next election.
