The 23-year-old Sara Ali Khan, the doting daughter of actor Saif Ali Khan is all set to make her acting debut with a love story titled ‘Kedarnath’, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Is daddy Saif cool about his daughter choosing acting career or is he not? Actually, he seems to be in two minds.
In a recent interview, Saif expressed his displeasure over Sara, a graduate of prestigious Columbia University in New York, picking films over other feasible professions.
“Look at where she studied. Why would she want acting rather than live and work in New York or some other city? I am not looking down on acting, it’s just it is not the most stable profession, everyone lives in constant fear here. There is no guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. This is not the life any parent would want for their children,” Saif reportedly said.
His answer confused everyone as a few months ago he said that he was happy to see Sara do whatever she wishes to. He talked in support of Sara preferring acting over other professions on a few other occasions as well. Fans wonder why this change of heart all of a sudden after his daughter has finally okayed her debut project, initial jitters may be?
Considering that her grandmother Sharmila Tagore, father Saif, mother Amrita Singh, stepmother Kareena Kapoor, aunt Soha Ali Khan and uncle Kunal Khemu are all actors, it comes as least surprise when Sara chose to become an actor.
