Last Monday, Indians had to hear the painful news of Terrorist Attack on Amarnath Yathra pilgrims, where eight were killed and dozens injured. One day before the next Monday comes, a second tragedy has struck the Amarnath Yathra pilgrims in the form of a deadly bus accident.
As per reports, at least 16 pilgrims were killed and more than 30 injured when a bus carrying pilgrims fell into a deep gorge off the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Ramban district of J&K on Sunday. The injured have been airlifted for treatment to Jammu.
The police said that about 40-42 pilgrims were travelling in the bus. Reportedly, it skidded off the road and rolled down the gorge, causing the deadly tragedy. This is the second tragedy in Amarnath this week.
