Shilpa Blames Ill Health for Losing

YSR Congress party candidate Shilpa Mohan Reddy has conceded his defeat in the most talked about Nandyal by-poll. Shilpa has agreed his defeat in the hands of TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy as TDP’s majority has crossed over 25,078 by the end of 16 rounds. TDP’s majority is much higher than the total votes polled in the balance three rounds. Hence, TDP’s victory is confirmed.

Responding to the result, Shilpa Mohan Reddy termed his poor health as the reason for losing the polls. Shilpa also said that he would ‘respect’ the people’s verdict in the by-election.

However, YSRCP president Jagan who rallied for the party in Nandyal for over 12 days, is yet to respond on the result. While YSRCP spokespersons blamed TDP of luring voters with money and Sops, TDP outrightly denied YSRCP’s allegations.
