Rumours were rife that Mahesh Babu and Ileana D’Cruz would be teaming up once again for Mahesh’s up next film to be directed by Vamshi Paidipally. It is speculated that Ileana would be cast opposite Mahesh in his 25th film. Ileana had acted alongside Mahesh in his blockbuster Pokiri that released over 10 years ago.
Producer Dil Raju has quashed the rumours and stated that there is no truth in it. “We have neither confirmed Ileana nor we approached her. At the moment, we have not initiated a hunt for female lead for Mahesh 25,” Dil Raju said.
The film is jointly produced by Ashwini Dutt and Dil Raju under Vyjayanthi Movies and Sri Venkateswara Creations. Ileana’s last Telugu film was Devudu Chesina Manushulu in 2012 after which she moved onto Bollywood and offers to her have come down drastically.
