Sorry, We lied about Jayalalithaa’s health condition: TN Minister

The mystery surrounding the death of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa after a prolonged and isolated stay in a Chennai hospital is getting deeper as another key member of the AIADMK party has made a shocking revelation about her health.

Speaking at a party on Saturday, State Forest Minister Dindigul Srinivasan apologized to the people of Tamil Nadu, particularly the AIADMK cadre, for having lied about the health status of Jayalalithaa while she was in hospital. He admitted that all their claims like ‘Amma had idli, tea, and she smiled at the team of doctors’ etc. were just a bunch of lies.

The minister divulged that not just he but all the ministers were forced by Amma’s longtime companion Sasikala and her family members to lie to people. During the speech, he allegedly attacked Sasikala’s family for denying everyone, including the ministers, access to Amma while she was in hospital.

“The truth is that nobody saw her. Even high profile dignitaries including Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi were now allowed to visit Jayalalithaa, they only met the hospital chairman,” the forest minister revealed.

As the Chief Minister K. Palaniswami has now ordered a probe into Jayalalithaa’s death, the truth would be out soon, he added.

Before Srinivasan, several noted personalities, including former CM O.Panneerselvam had raised questions about the circumstances under which Jayalalithaa died.
