We have recently seen beautiful Punjabi heroine Mehreen Pirzada scoring her third successive commercial success with ‘Raja The Great’. Now, Malayali actress Anupama Parameswaran is eyeing to register her fifth straight win at box office.
Starting from debut film ‘A..Aa’, Anupama has so far been part of successive hits like ‘Premam’, ‘Shathamanam Bhavathi’ and ‘Dharmayogi’. She is currently awaiting the release of Ram-starrer “Vunnadi Okate Zindagi”, which is set to hit screens on October 27. Although her first four films were hits, the success of this new film is crucial for her career, and here is why.
In both ‘A..Aa’ and ‘Premam’, she played small roles, of course noteworthy characters. She was the only heroine in ‘Shathamanam Bhavathi’ but the film relied largely on family drama and performances of Prakash Raj, Jayasudha and Sharwanand. In ‘Dharmayogi’, Dhanush and Trisha walked away with all the honors. So, technically, she was part of four hits but her contribution in the success of those films was very limited.
‘Vunnadi Okate Zindagi’ however is a romantic drama having full scope for proving her acting mettle. Both Lavanya Tripathi and Anupama will reportedly be seen in equally important roles opposite Ram. The success of this film means not just fifth commercial hit in a row for Anupama, but the first credible hit in her account, something she can boast of.
Anupama will be next seen in Nani’s ‘Krishnarjuna Yuddham’ and Karunakaran-Sai Dharam Tej film.
