A hero proposes to build a hospital for the village which costs more than building a temple. Then when everyone is blankly faced, his wife, a heroine, removes her ‘taali bottu’ (mangalsutra) made of gold and keeps it in her husband’s palm, assuring that the first donation comes from her for the cause. That’s it. Claps. Claps. Whistles.
That is the only and best scene a heroine has got in “Mersal” movie and it is none other than Nitya Menon who has done that. More than what Kajal and Samantha have done in the film, it’s Nitya who steals the show with a thunder. It is the same case with her when she took NTR to her pelli choopulu in Janata Garage, or when she said ‘laddu kavala nayana’ to Allu Arjun in S/o Satyamurthy. Or her handicapped walk in Kanchana 2 where she says ‘surru sui’, she simply took it over with just one scene and one best knock.
Needless to say, Nitya Menon is getting whistles and claps for a single scene as a second heroine or say for that guest appearance she does. One wonders whether directors are writing such stuff for her, or she’s owning the scene in any film like that and delivering her best.
Though Nithya is not seen as a solo heroine with a winner on hand post OK Bangaram, her fans are expecting that she will bounce back.
