Noted Cinematographer Passes Away

Noted Tamil cinematographer Priyan passed away on Thursday at his residence in Chennai due to a cardiac arrest. He had worked as cinematographer for nearly 30 films in Kollywood. Condolences poured in on social media expressing shock over the sudden demise of the senior cinematographer.

The 53-year-old cameraman was best known as the frequent collaborator of top Tamil director Hari, with whom he worked on 13 films, including the Singam series. He was about to begin shooting for “Saamy Square”, a sequel to “Saamy” that starred Vikram in lead role. This would have been Priyan’s 14th film with director Hari.

He is survived by wife and two daughters.
