YS Jagan’s Padayatra has got more publicity in media before it was started than it actually rolled on. After it was launched from Idupulapaya from Nov 6, media has hardly cared about his Praja Sankalpa Yatra.
Except Jagan’s own media, none of the prominent media has actually written or promoted it. This is after Jagan met media barons such as Ramoji Rao and several top media executives from various papers, channels and sought all of their support for his yatra. Yet none has helped much for his yatra.
Many say that Jagan’s same-old points in his speech are lacking interest for anyone to publicise. With Jagan reiterating the same and just taking on his political rival Chandrababu.
In fact, when Jagan had met Ramoji Rao, Jagan had promised him that his Praja Sankalpa Yatra is nothing to do with any politics and it is purely pro-people yatra. Jagan had told Ramoji that the yatra is to know people’s problems. Whereas reality is a total contrast. Jagan has been targeting Naidu without substance, so naturally it has no interest for media.
Unless there is substantial substance and evidence against government, just lame allegations and generalised comments won’t do. Even Jagan’s own party leaders are expressing mixed response over the yatra.
