Top actress Rakul Preet Singh, who reportedly takes home an eight digit remuneration per film, has talked about the disparity in the remunerations of heroes and heroines. She said that even the likes of Nayanthara doesn’t earn one fourth of what star heroes earn per film.
Rakul reportedly said that despite being called the Lady Superstar of South and carrying whole films on her able shoulders, Nayan pockets somewhere around Rs 3 Cr per film whereas male star heroes take home around 15 Cr remuneration. She added that she couldn’t understand the statistics being followed by filmmakers, but she nonetheless said that the pay disparity explicitly shows the male domination in film industry.
The beautiful actress said that she however has no complaints as she feels she takes home the pay she deserves for her hard work. Rakul added that she has no intention of changing the decades-old system in film industry, and has learnt to be happy with what she has been getting.
