The very beautiful, talented and unabashedly bold Vidya Balan has the image of not mincing words, and say and do what she feels right. The storing-woman has recently divulged a shocking incident that terrified her – when a top producer asked her to undergo nose surgery to fix her nose.
Vidya, speaking to a leading daily about her journey in industry, recollected that producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra (PK, 3 Idiots, Munnabhai series and some other notable films) had told her that she had a long nose and that he would send her to LA to get it fixed.
The incident happened when Vidya signed Chopra’s “Parineeta”, her first Bollywood film, in 2005. The then-newcomer and now-top actress revealed that she was very terrified but was very scared to say no to the top producer because she thought he might throw her out of the film.
Gathering her courage, she somehow conveyed her reluctance to get a nose job to the film’s director Pradeep Sarkar, and somehow she didn’t have to get under the knife in the end.
Coming to present, sharing her thoughts on plastic surgery, Vidya said that she was happy to look like a 38-year-old and that would never get under knife to fake her age or fix her God-given body.
