Nearly three years ago, Indian cricket fans went mad on social media when Russian Tennis star Maria Sharapova said she didn’t know who Indian ‘Cricket God’ Sachin Tendulkar was. A similar incident has repeated now, but this time, Sachin has failed to recognize South star hero, Chiyaan Vikram, who is a significant pan-India star as well.
Vikram, who is currently promoting his latest film ‘Sketch’, has in an interview revealed how he was disappointed when Sachin didn’t recognize him. When the ‘Aparichithudu’ star was aboard a flight, he felt starstruck to have found Sachin in his next seat. However, much to his disappointment, Sachin didn’t recognize him.
“When I asked Sachin why he did not know me, he politely replied that he rarely watches Indian movies,” Vikram added.
Being a prominent star hero in the South Indian film industry, and also having won a National Film Award, its fair that Vikram felt awkward that he still couldn’t become a familiar face to his most admired cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar.
