They Tried to Separate Us: Rajinikanth

Rajinikanth is back with his 2.0 and the superstar once again proved that he is the king of box office. 2.0 opened huge on day one and is racing towards breaking many records. Rajini had a brief chat with a media daily while promoting his 2.0 and opened up on many things.

When asked about his political rivalry with his contemporary actor-superstar Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth rubbished having any rivalry. Rajinikanth refused to call Kamal an opponent, but a great friend and co-star. Rajini also revealed that many tried to separate them, but they all failed.

Rajini gave all praise to Kamal and revealed that kamal many a time helped him in dialogues and he even adjusted his busy dates just for Rajinikanth. ‘We used to discuss politics in our early careers and we also anticipated that politics can separate our ways, but we are good friends forever’ said Rajinikanth.

Rajinikanth decided to speak straight when asked about ‘Sabarimala’ controversy. He said there are few temples and customs into which no one should interfere, not even the judicial courts. As there are sensitive sentiments and customs interlaced with these temples, he feels that one should not try to interfere in these issues. He also feels that politics and religion should never be linked to each other.
