Lakshmi’s NTR Release Stalled By AP High Court

After the Mangalagiri court’s ruling, now Andhra Pradesh High Court has stalled the release of ‘Lakshmi’s NTR.’ This is a big blow to director Ram Gopal Varma as the movie is just few hours away from the release.

The court has asked the makers of the film to host for a screening on April 3rd and even asked the producer to be present for the screening. The court will take the decision post the screening. However, the advocates of ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ have strongly urged and even said they would appeal in Supreme Court. The lawyers cited the example of ‘Padmavat’ movie and stated that once censor certificate is issued, the release can’t be held and informed the AP High Court that the Telangana government said no objection for the release.

On the other hand, Telangana election commissioner chief Rajath Kumar said they have received a complaint against ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ and a committee has been appointed to look into it. So for now, Lakshmi’s NTR is not releasing in AP, but the release will go as per schedule in Telangana and the USA.
