Attarintiki Daredi remake incurs huge loss

Actor Simbu, who’s one of the most talked stars of Kollywood, has been part of many remake films and they didn’t fetch him the required success. Rather, most of his movies earned him criticism, hate, and controversies. Simbu was highly criticized by the producer and director of 2017’s Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan for his unruly behavior and involvement in the project.

Many industry heads complained that his indiscipline on sets, he is late to the shoot and unprofessionalism has caused a huge loss to their projects. Recently, the actor featured in Tamil remake of blockbuster Telugu flick ‘Attarintiki Daredi’, which’s titled as ‘Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven’.

The film, produced by Karunamoorthy, was released by Lyca Productions. Unfortunately, the makers officially declared that they had to suffer a loss of Rs 14 Cr due to this project. So, Lyca group lodged a cheating case on producer Karunamoorthy for deceiving them.

Profits and losses are common in the film industry but very rarely, a production house comes out to officially declare about the total losses incurred. Lyca is now searching for reasons behind the film’s flop.
