TDP set to lose 4 MLAs from Prakasam?

The TDP is set to lose all its four MLAs from Prakasam district in the next two months, if the happenings there are any indication.

The four legislators, Karanam Balarama Krishna Murthy from Chirala, G Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy from Kondepi, Gottipati Ravi Kumar from Addanki and Eluri Sambasiva Rao from Parchuru, are seriously looking at alternatives and are disassociating with the party.

Surprisingly, the four MLAs did not participate in the State wide protest call given by the party on October 25.

Though all the four MLAs were available in the district, none of them joined the protest in Prakasam district giving strength to the speculation on their exit.

Gottipati Ravi Kumar has strong connections in the YSR Congress as he was elected on YSRCP in 2014, but defected to the TDP in 2016. He is trying to use those connections to get back to the home party.

Sambasiva Rao is said to be waiting for his rival, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao to leave the YSR Congress so that he could walk in.

The TDP’s strong leaders, Siddha Raghava Rao and Damacharla Janardhan from the district, too are not active in the party these days and are said to be looking at other options.
