Like we revealed it a month ago already, director Ashok G of “Bhagamathie” is setting things well in Bollywood as he is heading to remake his super hit movie in Hindi arena. After wrapping the web series he’s directing with Hansika in the lead, he’s now going for this Hindi movie.
We have already stated that Bhumi Pednekar is going to play the role of Anushka in this film being produced by Akshay Kumar and T-Series together. Latest update is that the film is titled “Durgavati” for the Hindi arena as Bhumi steps into the shoes of Baahubali beauty Anushka Shetty as the ‘hero’ of this movie.
Though rest of the cast and crew are not yet announced, it is being heard that many big names are going to join the gang. And they are going to shoot some special songs as well for the promotion of the film. This makes director Ashok joining the likes of Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Gowtham Tinnanuri, who have made inroads into Bollywood with the remakes of their respective Telugu films.
While Sandeep remade Arjun Reddy as Kabir Singh for Bollywood, Gowtham is remaking his Jersey there. Now Ashok is making Bhagamathie as Durgavati there.
