Why did Trump forget his friend from Andhra Pradesh?

Entire India is going ga ga over the ongoing two-day visit of President of United States of America Donald Trump along with his family members and official delegation and the national and international media have their complete focus on this most important tour.

Trump had a grand reception at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad, where over 1.20 lakh people gathered to meet him.

The US president described Narendra Modi as his most trusted friend and showered praises on him and India as a whole.

He talked about Swamy Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and other celebrities. He even mentioned about Bollywood and popular Hindi films.

So far so good. But one person who Trump seems to have forgotten to remember, if not invite him to his meetings, is Dr Kilari Anand Paul a.k.a. K A Paul, the great world-renowned evangelist, who claimed to have played a major role in the victory of Trump as the US president in 2016.

Well, don’t laugh out loud. There have been umpteen statements from global Christian organisations about Paul and his mission for establishing peace in the entire world.

During the US presidential elections in 2016, Paul issued a statement that was carried in all the international newspapers and magazines.

In the statement, Paul, who claimed to be an advisor to presidents and world leaders, called upon the 50 governors of the US states, all 100 Senators, and 435 Representatives to get together behind Donald Trump.

“If you love America, everyone must get behind Donald Trump right now,” he said in the statement.

Paul, who established Global Peace Mission, said Hillary Clinton, the Democratic candidate against Trump, would be a disaster for the country.

After Trump won the elections, Paul even organised global Christmas celebrations for peace as he believed the new regime would shun wars and focus on economic development.

Unfortunately for India, such a “great evangelist” was rejected by the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Paul, who established Praja Shanti Party, contested the last assembly elections in AP and fielded candidates in a large number of constituencies, but alas, all of them lost their deposits.

The people of Andhra might be selfish, but what happened to Trump? Why did he forget the great visionary on whose call, millions of Americans responded and voted for him?

You are thankless, Trump!
