On January 26th, 2017, then opposition leader YS Jagan was restricted from entering Vizag city. At Vizag airport, he was stopped by the police and refrained him from taking part in a protest for ‘Special Status’ to Andhra Pradesh.
Three years later, now opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu faced the same scenario. The TDP chief landed in Vizag airport this morning to take part in UttarAndhra tour. But YSRCP activists reached Vizag airport in large number and staged a protest against Chandrababu. TDP activists countered YSRCP protest and there was a tense atmosphere for quite some time. An YSRCP activist threatened to commit suicide by setting himself fire with petrol if Chandrababu’s tour is allowed and another ruling party member waved black flag.
Amidst these things, Chandrababu’s convoy was blocked for more than an hour. Finally Chandrababu stepped out of his car and went ahead with his tour. However the police asked Chandrababu to stop his padayatra and move into his convoy. All the roads leading to Vizag airport are jam-packed with huge traffic.
Seems like Jagan paid off what Chandrababu had done to him. After all politics is all about taking revenge more than doing good for people
