On second thought if we look at the words said by director Nag Ashwin, “Prabhas crossed pan-India long back, now this is a pan-world film darlings”, regarding his latest flick after Mahanati, it looks like he is doing the unwanted hyping. Earlier Saaho makers also made similar promises but the end result proved to be something else, pushing fans into lots of disappointment.
If we look at what is called a pan-world film, these days one cannot stop talking about Korean film Parasite that won Oscar as well. But wil Prabhas as the lead, surely we couldn’t expect Nag Ashwin making such movie. They have already given hints that it will be a science-fiction fantasy movie. In that case, pan-world movies like Avengers, Mission Impossible or James Bond films will be compared to this new movie of Prabhas for sure.
The VFX budget of films like Avengers or James Bond movies to that extent is more than 1000 crores. Thousand crores literally. So when we are talking about a pan-world film, the quality of visual effects should be of that range. But in Saaho itself, even after spending 150 crores budget on VFX, the quality of work appeared to pretty inferior. So what would Nag Ashwin achieve in 200 crores budget which could be hailed as Pan-World production?
Questions like these will arise if the director continues hyping the film on social media. Rather than, he should simply surprise everyone with the teaser and trailer of the movie.
