TRS party supremo K Chandra Sekhar Rao is a very ambitious and powerful politician as we all know. His TRS party is one of the prominent parties in the center and his leadership is so far impeccable. Being unopposed in the state KCR has a dream of a federal front that actually wants to evolve as a third power in the country after BJP and NCP.
KCR is now relaxed with his son looking after the state and the party and initiated his efforts to form the federal front. It seems like he is going in the right direction as the TRS party has prepared for the whitewash in Rajya Sabha which could show KCR’s real power at the center.
With 104 MLAs in the kitty, the TRS is looking to sweep all the seven Rajya Sabha seats. The TRS currently has five out of the 7 seats allotted to Telangana. Of them, one MP, D Srinivas, is keeping away from the party activities and his son D Arvind is a BJP MP. The remaining two seats are falling vacant now.
The elections for these two seats will be held on March 24th. One seat is likely to fall in former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s lap and the other will find KCR’s daughter Kavitha Kalwakuntla, who is now in political limbo after her shock defeat to D Aravind in Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency.
Sources say that the second seat may be given to SC leader Kadiyam Srihari or former MP and tribal leader Sitaram Naik. With these many options on the board, KCR will decide the suitable candidate and given the road-roller majority, the victory of the TRS candidates is a foregone conclusion.
Now KCR can turn the wheel in national politics with these 7 seats and his dream might come true one day.
