The controversy surrounding the letter of Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar addressing to Union Home Secretary has deepened with ruling party leaders and opposition leaders at loggerheads.
Responding to the allegations and unwanted controversy brewing over his letter to Union Home Secretary over his sudden removal as AP’s State Election Commissioner, Nimmagadda gave strong counter to his critics including YCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy who leveled a volley of questions over the letter. Nimmagadda made it clear that he himself has written the letter to Union Home Secretary and he asked everyone else to be silent on the matter.
With this, TDP’s senior leader Varla Ramaiah came down heavily on Vijay Sai Reddy calling him as an A-2 in 11 cases and asked him to resign to his Rajya Sabha MP post in the wake of Nimmagadda’s clarification. He asked where Vijay Sai Reddy and Jagan will keep their heads now. Calling him as shameless, he said how can a Rajya Sabha member could level such baseless allegations against a senior bureaucrat like Nimmagadda and his letter. He said Vijay Sai Reddy has no moral right to continue in Rajya Sabha.
TDP’s Rajya Sabha MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar has threatened Vijay Sai Reddy with legal action for dragging his name into the letter controversy. With Nimmagadda himself giving clear clarification and TDP coming down heavily, YCP leaders are now caught off guard.
Earlier Vijay Sai Reddy in his letter raised questions over Nimmagadda’s letter to Union Home Secretary and alleged that the letter was not originally written and signed by Nimmagadda and alleged that it was written and sent from TDP office.
Vijay Sai Reddy has demanded that Nimmagadda’s letter to Home Secretary should be verified in Forensic Lab and he would refer matter to DGP alleging that Nimmagadda’s signature was forged. With Nimmagadda’s clarification, Vijay Sai Reddy’s allegations turned out to be baseless.
